Good food
Here at Oojam HQ we’re so committed to reversing the concerns you have over Indian food, and the impacts we have on this glorious planet, that we’ve developed the GOOD FOOD policy. It’s our overarching approach to delivering better quality product in a better way. “That’s amazing” you say. “But how?” Here’s how:
Meat, Fish and Poultry:
Free range Chickens and Eggs. Yes, all our chickens are free-range and so are their eggs! We all know it’s better for the bird but how tasty is Oojam’s food because of it! We’ve also introduced succulent lamb that loves to soak up our marinades, and melts at the mere sight of a knife. Fish is the ultimate brain food so we make sure the piscatorial delights we serve come from the most intelligent sources.
Sourcing:
We care about the provenance of our ingredients, because you do. So we make sure that our vegetables, meats, spices, herbs and dairy products come from reputable suppliers. Where possible, we only use seasonal, hormone-free, unprocessed, free-trade certified and sustainable ingredients so you can always trust the quality of Oojam’s food.
Watch What We Do:
Open-plan, exhibition-style kitchen like no other Indian restaurant you’ve been to. It helps to know that your food is fresh so we’ve designed Oojam to let you watch what we do with your food and how we do it. We also want to watch you smile while you enjoy the fruits of our labour!
Waste Management:
Our GOOD FOOD policy isn’t only concerned with food and drink, but on making sure the entire production process is ethical, further reducing our imprint on the environment. Where possible, our packaging is made from recycled material and can be recycled over and over and over. We also use biodegradable cleaning products and eco-friendly detergents that’ll clean your plates, knives and glasses but won’t harm a fly.
Employees:
We’re operating a ‘Fair Go’ human resources policy that ensures that the TROOPS are looked after. We like to invest in the human element of our operation. At Oojam, we’re focused on making sure that each individual is looked after to our best ability. Oojam charges a discretionary service charge of 10% of the total bill which is distributed to our staff. If you’d like become one of us, get in touch.
